Pineapple sorbet made from fresh pineapple -quick to make-

Spread the love

Ingredients for 10 servings:

  • 1 pineapple (flying pineapple)
  • 1 tbsp lime juice, alternatively lemon juice
  • 300 g brown sugar
  • 500 ml water
  • Fruit
  • Lemon balm

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 hours; Total time approx. 5 hours 15 minutes

Melting and wonderfully refreshing. The pineapple’s own enzyme prevents the mixture from becoming too solid!

Either peel the pineapple with a pineapple peeler or slice it and neatly remove the woody parts and the core. If you like, you can set aside a few pieces for garnish. I always puree the whole pineapple and use other fruit for the garnish. Puree the sliced pineapple flesh with the water, sugar, and lime juice either in a food processor with the blade attachment or in a blender until smooth. Now fill the mixture into decorative serving glasses or store everything in a freezer container, from which you can easily scoop out the portions as desired.
