Fine semolina dish

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 ml milk, 1.5% fat
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 50 g semolina (soft wheat)
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 pack of sauce powder, vanilla, no cooking

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Semolina porridge spiced up

Combine the milk with salt and sugar and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat, stir in the semolina, and simmer for a few minutes over the residual heat, stirring occasionally to prevent burning. Then remove from the heat and stir in the cream and custard powder. Ladle into dessert bowls and let cool. Serve best at room temperature. Serve with compote, if desired, or with currant jelly or plum jam, for example.
