Fiery rice meat

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat (beef)
  • 600 g onion(s), chopped
  • 500 g bell pepper(s), red
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ¾ liter broth
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 400 g rice (dry weight)

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Add rice and cook according to the package instructions. Brown the ground beef, chopped onions, spices, and Worcestershire sauce in a pan without adding any oil until tender. Trim and dice the bell peppers, and fry them briefly. Then add the stock and simmer uncovered on medium heat for about 12 minutes. The time can vary depending on how crunchy or cooked you like the peppers. After 12 minutes, the diced bell peppers will be almost cooked through. Add the sour cream and let the whole thing simmer for about 10 minutes. Do not boil again! Serve with the previously cooked rice.
