  • 220 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar

  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 5 apples or less depending on the baking dish

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

quick, easy, uncomplicated, delicious

Make a batter from margarine, sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs, flour, milk, and baking powder and season to taste. 4 or 5 apples are enough for one baking sheet, and 2 or 3 apples are enough for a 26 cm springform pan. Cut the apples into pieces and mix well with the batter. Pour the batter and apples into a springform pan that has been greased along the edges. A baking sheet does not need to be greased. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 °C (top/bottom heat) for approx. 30-40 minutes on the middle rack. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Delicious, super moist, and tastes great with whipped cream. It may seem like there are too many apples in relation to the batter, but don’t worry, the batter will work its way through the apples and really just serve as a shape to hold them together.
