Grilled tomato from the oven

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 6 large tomatoes, e.g. Coeur de Boeuf
  • 1 pack of feta cheese, approx. 200 g
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 10 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 sprigs of rosemary
  • 1 jar olives, black, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Wash and halve the tomatoes. Pour half of the olive oil into a baking dish and place the halved tomatoes cut-side up. Sprinkle the chopped onion, garlic cloves, and finely diced feta cheese over the tomatoes and drizzle with the remaining olive oil. Optionally, add the olives to the tomatoes in the dish. Season to taste with salt (coarse sea salt is best) and pepper, and add the rosemary, cut into 2-3 cm pieces. Bake in the oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for 30 minutes and serve hot.
