Cheese spaetzle with meatballs

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 500 g spaetzle (refrigerated section)
  • 250g Gouda
  • 2 handfuls of fried onions
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • n. B. Spice mix for minced meat
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 slice(s) toast bread, soaked
  • 1 egg(s)
  • e.g. rapeseed oil or omega-3 oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

For the meatballs, combine the ground beef, egg, finely diced onion, and crushed garlic. Squeeze the soaked breadcrumbs. Mix with the ground beef mixture and season with ground beef seasoning to taste. Shape the meatballs and fry them vigorously in a pan with heated rapeseed oil or omega-3 oil. For the cheese spaetzle, heat rapeseed oil or omega-3 oil in a pan. Fry the spaetzle until browned. Season with pepper and salt. Sprinkle 2 to 3 handfuls of fried onions over the top and mix to combine. Grate the Gouda cheese freshly, sprinkle over the top, and mix in. Serve with the meatballs.
