Potato and celery mash

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g potatoes
  • 2 stalk(s) Celery
  • butter
  • Milk
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Wash and peel the potatoes, and cut them into 1.5 cm cubes. Add a little water to a pot with a steamer. Place the diced potatoes in the steamer, place it in the pot, and steam, covered, for about 15-20 minutes until soft. Place the potatoes in a mixing bowl and mash them with a potato masher. Using a whisk, beat in a generous knob of butter and enough milk to form a fine purée. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Wash the celery stalks, cut them into wafer-thin slices, and stir them into the purée.
