White strawberry jam (pineapple strawberry)

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g strawberries (white, pineapple strawberries), cleaned and washed
  • 250 g gelling sugar, 2:1

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 14 minutes

Purée the stemmed and cleaned pineapple strawberries with the preserving sugar. Boil uncovered in a saucepan for 4 minutes, stirring continuously. Immediately pour into twist-off jars rinsed with hot water and seal tightly. The jam will not be completely transparent, as is often assumed, but will retain its light pink color. The red strawberries’ seeds stand out as a fun eye-catcher. A very fruity, delicious jam.
