Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg peach(s)
  • 80 g vanilla sugar
  • ½ tonka bean(s)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 42 minutes

delicious with rice pudding

Blanch the peaches in boiling water, peel, and slice, reserving the juice. Place them in a saucepan with the sugar, lemon juice, and grated tonka bean and bring to a boil. Simmer for about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add more sweetener to taste. While still hot, pour into jars, seal, and turn upside down for 5 minutes.
