Beans in paprika cream

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 750 g beans, fresh green
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tbsp paprika powder, sweet and hot
  • 125 ml whipped cream
  • 125 ml sour cream
  • 50 g peppers, pickled red, cut into strips
  • Flour
  • butter
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash and trim the beans, taking care not to break them. Dice the onions and fry them in hot butter until translucent. Place the beans on top. Pour in 1/8 liter of water, season with salt, a little pepper, and sugar, and simmer the beans, covered, for about 15 minutes. Pour the bean liquid into a small saucepan; keep the beans warm. Mix the sweet and sour cream, paprika, and flour together and add to the simmering bean liquid. Simmer for another 3 minutes. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and hot paprika. Heat the pepper strips in the sauce and pour everything over the beans. Serve with fried potatoes and meatballs.
