Fred's potato dumplings with cabbage, bacon and peppers

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g potato dumplings
  • ½ small white cabbage
  • ½ red bell pepper(s)
  • 125 g bacon, diced
  • 2 tbsp, heaped cream cheese
  • 1 butter
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • e.g. paprika powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Finely dice the white cabbage and blanch in boiling water until soft. Then heat the butter in a pan and fry the bacon. Add the potato dumplings and continue to fry. Cut the bell peppers into small pieces and add them to the pan along with the cabbage. Reduce the heat, stirring frequently. Stir in 2 tablespoons of cream cheese and season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Once the cream cheese is thoroughly mixed in, serve hot. If you prefer your bell peppers a little softer, simply add them to the pan one step earlier. We like them a bit crunchier.
