Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 500 ml sour cream
  • 200 ml mayonnaise
  • 150 g onion(s), finely sliced
  • 150 g apples, quartered, sliced
  • 100 g gherkins, quartered, sliced
  • 24 fish fillets (Bismarck herring)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 8 hours; Total time approx. 8 hours 15 minutes

Mix all ingredients (except herring fillets), season with salt, and rinse the fillets under running water. Marinate overnight in the sauce. Serve with boiled potatoes.
