stuffed meatballs
Dice the bell pepper, 1 onion, and 1 garlic clove, and mix with salt, pepper, and the ground beef until smooth. Mix the herbs and chop or finely chop them, then mash the feta cheese or white cow’s milk cheese with a fork until it forms small crumbs. Then dice the mozzarella and add it to the feta cheese crumbs along with the chopped herbs and mix well. Form the dough into small, palm-sized meatballs. Make a hollow in the meatball and add the feta cheese and herb mixture to this hollow. Seal and fry in a pan until nicely browned. I recommend serving with a chicken sauce with garlic and onion, a light sauce, or gravy. Rice goes well as a side dish.
