Easter recipe, for 12 chicks
Whip the cream, mix the powdered sugar with the cream stiffener, then drizzle in the mixture, then color with the yellow food coloring to the desired depth. Refrigerate. Beat the margarine until fluffy, add the sugar and vanilla sugar, and continue beating until the sugar is partially dissolved. Gradually add the eggs and continue beating. Then stir in the lemon zest and juice, and finally the flour mixed with the baking powder. Divide the mixture among 12 muffin cups and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for about 15 minutes, until light brown. Allow to cool completely before decorating. Color the marzipan with black and red coloring, using about 1/4 black and the rest red. Color the black mixture into 24 balls for the eyes, and the red mixture into 12 beaks and 24 feet. Fill the cream into a piping bag or plastic bag and pipe the “chick bodies” evenly onto the muffins. Alternatively, you can use blueberries for the eyes and cut strawberries for the beaks and feet, then it will be not so sweet and healthier!
