Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg pear(s)
  • 1 kg gelling sugar
  • 2 lemon(s), the juice
  • 1 tsp gingerbread spice
  • 6 cl schnapps (Williams pear)

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel the pears, core them, and dice them. Combine them in a saucepan with the gelling sugar, lemon juice, and gingerbread spices and bring to a boil. Let it boil for 7 minutes, then strain. Add the schnapps and bring to a boil again. Pour into prepared jars and seal immediately. Note: If children are eating this, the schnapps can be omitted.
