Pear Christmas jam

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 560 g pear(s), fully ripe
  • 40 g marzipan
  • 250 ml juice (carrot juice)
  • 250 g gelling sugar, 3:1
  • 1 handful of raisins or sultanas

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel and core the pears. Blend finely with the other ingredients, except the raisins, and place in a tall saucepan. Add the raisins. Bring to a boil and simmer for at least 4 minutes, then test for settling. Boil for another 2 minutes if necessary. Pour into jars and seal immediately. Tip: If you like, you can add a pinch of cinnamon.
