Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 400 g chestnut(s), peeled
- 300 g sugar
- 1 vanilla pod(s), pulp
- 200 ml water
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Mix the sugar with the vanilla bean pulp. Finely grind the peeled chestnuts and stir them into the sugar mixture in a saucepan. Add the water and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Simmer for about 15 minutes over medium heat, stirring frequently. Then, while still hot, pour into previously boiled twist-off jars, seal tightly, and let cool. Makes approximately 3 jars of 200 ml each, ideal as a gift or souvenir.
