Lamb's lettuce with bacon and croutons

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 120 g lamb’s lettuce
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 4 tbsp mineral water
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp onion(s), finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp oil (peanut oil)
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 50 g bacon
  • 2 slices of toast
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • garlic powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Trim, wash, and spin dry the lamb’s lettuce. For the dressing, combine the sour cream, mineral water, lemon juice, onion, apple cider vinegar, and both oils; season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Cut the bacon into very fine strips and fry briefly in a hot pan without oil. Remove and set aside. Cut the bread into cubes and mix in a bowl with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Melt the butter in the pan and fry the bread cubes until golden brown. Toss the salad with the dressing and serve with bacon strips and croutons.
