Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g plum(s), pitted and diced
  • 300 g apples, diced
  • 100 g elderberries, whole, cleaned
  • 300 g pear(s) (Williams Christ), diced
  • 1 kg gelling sugar 1:1
  • 1 tsp gingerbread spice

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Aromatic jam made from plums, apples, elderberries and pears

Mix the prepared fruit with the gelling sugar and spices and let it steep for a while. Then bring to a boil and simmer for about 4 minutes. Pour into prepared jars and seal immediately. Depending on the size of the jars, this yields about 4-5 jars. Tip: Depending on the amount of fruit, you can also cook the jam in different proportions. However, I would always keep the elderberry content slightly lower than the other fruit varieties.
