Trofie with bacon, onions and peas

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g pasta (trofie)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 150 g bacon
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 200 g peas
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cut the onion into small slices or strips and the bacon into small rectangles. Heat 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan and fry the bacon. Add the onions and mix everything together well. In the meantime, cook the pasta in plenty of salted water until al dente. Add the thawed or fresh peas to the bacon and mix everything together well. Add the butter to the pan and also the grated Parmesan. Season everything with freshly ground pepper and a little salt if desired. The bacon should provide enough salt, but as always, it’s a matter of taste. Then add the cooked pasta straight from the pasta water to the pan. Add a little more pasta water and mix everything together again well. Place the pasta on a flat, if possible preheated plate. Drizzle with a little olive oil, sprinkle with some more Parmesan and freshly ground pepper.
