Americans with a Christmas touch

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 250 g sugar
  • 600 g flour
  • 250 ml milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 15 g ammonium bicarbonate
  • 10 g gingerbread spice
  • 250 g powdered sugar
  • lemon juice
  • Chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Combine all ingredients to make a batter that falls easily from a spoon. (The baking powder can be substituted for the baking powder.) Place small heaping spoonfuls on a baking sheet. Always leave some space, as they will spread. For teaspoon-sized spoonfuls, the batter will make about 40-50 cookies. For tablespoon-sized spoonfuls, the batter will make about 20-25 cookies. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 10-15 minutes. Melt the chocolate or make a glaze from powdered sugar and lemon juice and spread it over the still-warm American cookies. Decorate as desired.
