Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 150 g flour
  • 8 g baking powder
  • 35 g sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 80 g quark, low-fat
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 5 apples
  • some lemon juice
  • 3 eggs
  • 120 ml cream
  • 90 g sugar
  • 10 g vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

With quark-oil dough

Grease and flour a tart or springform pan. For the pastry, mix the flour with baking powder, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a bowl. Add the quark, oil, and milk and mix with the dough hook of a hand mixer until smooth. Roll out the dough, place it in the pan, and press up an edge. Peel, quarter, and core the apples, cut them into fan-shaped slices, and drizzle with a little lemon juice. Then arrange the apples on the pastry. Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit). For the topping, whisk the eggs with cream and sugar and pour over the apples. Bake on the middle rack for about 40 minutes.
