Creamy schnitzel with fresh mushrooms

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 8 small pork schnitzels (minute schnitzels)
  • 400 g mushrooms, fresh
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 600 ml water
  • 1 tsp, heaped flour
  • some water to mix
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • some oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cut the schnitzel into thin strips and fry in oil until golden brown. Then remove from the pan. Clean the mushrooms of any dirt, halve them, and then thinly slice each half. Fry in the pan with the oil until lightly toasted (add a little more oil if necessary). Finely dice the onion and add to the mushrooms, frying until translucent. Now add the meat back in, pour in the cream and water. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg, and simmer for about 10 minutes. Finally, mix the flour with a little water to thicken the sauce. Serve with rice.
