Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

homemade, healthy muesli

In a bowl, mash the bananas with a fork or the dough hook of a hand mixer. Add the olive oil and honey and mix with the cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and cocoa powder. The walnuts, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, and flax seeds make about one cup. Stir in these ingredients and the desiccated coconut. Finally, add the oats and knead in. The quantities are approximate and can be adjusted to taste. The mixture should be slightly sticky but no longer runny, ensuring all ingredients are moist. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for about 35 minutes. Turn it over several times and break up any larger pieces to ensure everything browns evenly and dries evenly. After baking, the granola can be mixed with dried apple slices or cranberries, if desired. Once cooled, store in an airtight jar and will keep for at least a week. This recipe makes about a 1.5-liter jar. Tastes delicious with oatmeal or yogurt, and can be eaten as a healthy and filling snack at school, university or work.
