Apple pie with walnut topping

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 750 g apples, sour
  • 100 g butter, cold
  • 150 g walnuts, chopped
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar for dusting
  • 3 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-assisted oven). Beat the butter with the sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the eggs. Mix the flour with the baking powder and fold in. Peel, core, and quarter the apple. Coarsely grate 1 apple and fold it into the batter. Grease a 26cm springform pan and pour in the batter. Cut several slits (lengthwise and diagonally) into the apples on the curved side. Then place them on the batter and press down lightly. For the nut topping, mix the cold butter in flakes with the sugar and chopped nuts until loose. Spread the mixture over the cake. Bake the cake in the oven for approx. 50 minutes. Remove from the pan and allow to cool. Dust with icing sugar. 335 kcal per serving.
