Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ¼ liter of water
  • 100 g butter
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 200 g flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 90 g cheese (Edam or Gouda), grated
  • 90 g Parmesan, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Without filling. Light and fluffy.

Bring water, butter, and salt to a boil in a saucepan. Add flour and mix to form a dumpling. Remove the pan from the heat and transfer the dumpling to a bowl. Gradually add the eggs and mix with a dough hook until a glossy dough forms. Finally, fold in the cheese. Preheat oven to 200°C. Place small heaps of dough onto a baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes. The profiteroles can be eaten hot or cold. They taste best fresh from the oven. They’re perfect for a buffet.
