Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g flour
  • 125 g butter
  • 1 packet of dry yeast
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp crème fraîche
  • 50 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp sea salt, coarse
  • 2 tbsp sesame, black
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tbsp milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours

Combine all dough ingredients with a mixer and dough hook until smooth. Chill for one hour. Preheat oven to 200°C. Roll out dough to about 5 mm thick. Cut into “gravestones” with a knife, approximately 3 x 6 cm wide. Place the dough pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Beat the egg with milk. Brush the dough pieces with the egg-milk mixture. Sprinkle a little salt on each piece and place a cross with the sesame seeds. Bake for 15 minutes, until the “gravestones” are golden brown.
