Quick wholemeal spelt bread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 600 g water, lukewarm
  • 1 pack of fresh yeast
  • 600 g wholemeal spelt flour
  • 17 g salt
  • 1 handful of mixed seeds
  • 1 handful of sunflower seeds
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Dissolve the yeast in the water in a bowl and stir. Add the apple cider vinegar. Add the flour and stir. Add the seed mixture and salt and mix well until very pasty. Pour the dough into a greased pan and sprinkle the sunflower seeds over it. It’s best to use a cast iron bread pan, such as the Petromax K4. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and bake for 55-65 minutes. The time depends on the baking pan. If you like, you can also add a little chili powder.
