Ingredients for 14 servings:

  • 320 g puff pastry
  • 7 sausages (Frankfurter sausages)
  • 1 egg(s), for brushing
  • 125 ml tomato ketchup
  • Bell pepper(s), green

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Crispy sausages

Preheat oven to 200°C. Cut the sausages in half crosswise. Roll out the puff pastry, cut them crosswise into 14 strips, and brush them thinly with water. Wrap each sausage piece with a strip of pastry, leaving the ends free. Brush the rolls with egg and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes. Decorate the sausages with ketchup (blood) and green peppers (fingernails).
