Cheese dip for tortilla chips

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 ml cream
  • 2 slices of processed cheese
  • 1 slice(s) Tilsiter, Butterkäse or other cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Paprika powder
  • 50 ml water, cold
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Pour the cream into a saucepan and add the cheese and seasonings. Both can be varied to taste. Fill a glass with cold water and stir in the cornstarch with a fork. Set the glass aside for now. Turn the stove on high and, stirring constantly, bring the cheese to a boil. Once the sauce is boiling, set the pan aside. Pour the liquid from the glass into the saucepan and stir in. Return the pan to the stove and cook the sauce, stirring constantly, until it thickens. The cheese sauce goes well with “Wild Paprika” tortilla chips, for example.
