Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g cream cheese
  • ½ tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 200 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 160 g brown sugar
  • 100 ml oil
  • 300 g buttermilk
  • 200 g dark chocolate coating
  • chocolate sprinkles, whole milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

For 12 muffins

Makes 12 muffins. For the filling, in a small bowl, mix the cream cheese with the sugar and vanilla sugar until smooth. In another bowl, thoroughly mix the sifted flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cocoa powder. Crack the egg into a large bowl and whisk lightly. Add the brown sugar, oil, and buttermilk and mix well. Then carefully fold in the flour mixture. Divide a quarter of the batter into the wells in the baking tray. Place 1 teaspoon of filling on each well and fill with batter. Bake in the oven at 160°C (fan oven) for approx. 20-25 minutes. Remove the muffins from the tray and let them cool on a wire rack. Melt the chocolate coating in a saucepan over a pan of simmering water, stirring continuously. Dip the muffins in the chocolate coating and let them dry slightly, then sprinkle with the chocolate sprinkles.
