Curry sauce for currywurst

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 ml cola
  • 500 ml tomatoes, pureed
  • 8 tbsp applesauce, more if desired
  • 2 tsp curry powder, Indian, n. B. more
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika powder
  • 1 tsp lemon juice, amount depending on the sweetness or acidity of the applesauce
  • possibly sugar or honey
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

makes approx. 500 ml of finished sauce

Reduce the cola to 100 ml. Then add the remaining ingredients, season with spices, and bring back to a gentle boil. If the Worcestershire sauce is too strong or the lemon too bitter, simply add more applesauce and perhaps a little sugar or honey. If you like it spicy, simply add a chili pepper.
