Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg cranberries, fresh
  • 3 orange(s), untreated
  • 1 lemon(s), untreated
  • 400 g sugar, brown
  • 2 tsp ginger root, fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

goes well with poultry, especially Thanksgiving turkey

Juice the oranges. 3 oranges should yield about 250 ml of juice. Grate the zest of 2 oranges and the lemon. Combine the juice, grated zest, and all the remaining ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for about 5 minutes. Don’t cook longer, or the sauce will become too mushy.
