Vicky the Viking cake, a hit at every children’s birthday party

Bake a sponge cake using your own recipe or buy one from a trusted baker. Place a cake ring around the base. Prepare 1 packet of jelly according to the package instructions, using only half the water. Then refrigerate and wait until it begins to set. A little tip: If you heat the pudding powder and sugar in just 125 ml of water and add the remaining 125 ml while it’s still cold, the jelly will set faster. When the jelly begins to set, whip the 2 cups of cream with the cream stiffener until stiff, gradually stirring in the jelly until a smooth mixture forms. Pour this mixture onto the cake base and refrigerate overnight. On the birthday, decorate as desired, e.g., with Vicky the Viking figures, just before serving.
