Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g sugar
  • 500 g flour
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 250 g butter, soft
  • 750 g quark (cottage cheese)
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, vanilla
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 200 g sugar
  • e.g. lemon peel
  • n. B. Rum
  • 1 kg of fruit for topping, e.g. apples, pears, cherries, apricots, etc.
  • n. B. cinnamon and sugar for sprinkling

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Cream the softened butter until fluffy and add the sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and egg. Continue stirring until smooth. Then add the flour and baking powder and stir until a nice batter forms. For the cream, mix all ingredients well. Roll out 3/4 of the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, then spread the cream on top. Either slice or grate the fruit. I like to grate apples and pears together; it adds a nice sweetness. Spread it on the cream and sprinkle with a sugar-cinnamon mixture, if desired. Then sprinkle the remaining 1/4 of the dough over the cake. Simply take a small piece of dough between your fingers and rub it until the entire cake is covered. Bake the cake at 190°C for 40 minutes. It freezes perfectly!
