Ingredients for 60 servings:
- 190 g butter, soft
- 100 g syrup (maple syrup)
- 50 g honey
- ½ tbsp ammonium bicarbonate (or 1/2 packet baking powder)
- 1 pinch of salt
- 350 g flour
- 25 g almonds, chopped
- 1 pinch of clove(s), allspice, cardamom, ground
- 1 pinch of ginger
- 1 egg(s), of which the egg white
- 50 g brown sugar
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes
Knead all ingredients. Form two 3.5 cm thick rolls and chill. Brush with beaten egg white, coat in brown sugar, cut into 4 mm thick slices, and bake on baking sheets lined with baking paper at 180-200 degrees Celsius for 12-15 minutes.
