Chocolate muffins with Mon Cheri

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 50 g almonds, ground
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g sugar
  • 80 ml oil
  • 300 g buttermilk
  • 12 pieces of confectionery (Mon Cheri)
  • 100 g chocolate coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat: 160°C). Place paper baking cups in the well of the muffin tin, or oil the baking tray without paper cups. Mix the flour, almonds, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Whisk the eggs with the sugar, oil, and buttermilk. Then stir the flour mixture into the wet mixture as quickly as possible. Pour the batter into the cups or into the greased baking tray, then lightly press 1 Mon Cherie into each one. Bake in the oven for approx. 15-20 minutes. After baking, let rest for approx. 5 minutes, then remove from the tin. Melt the chocolate coating in a water bath and drizzle it over the muffins in various patterns. Makes approx. 12 muffins.
