Ingredients for 42 servings:
- 125 g butter or margarine
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 60 g flour
- 125 g cornstarch
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar (Bourbon)
- 1 tbsp anise, ground
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Whisk the fat until fluffy. Sift the powdered sugar and mix it with the flour, cornstarch, vanilla sugar, and aniseed, then stir it into the fat. Add 1-2 tablespoons of ice-cold water and knead everything well into a smooth dough. Cover and chill for about 30 minutes. Form the aniseed dough into cherry-sized balls and place them on two baking sheets lined with baking paper. Flatten the balls slightly with a fork. Then bake one sheet at a time in a preheated oven at 175°C for 12-15 minutes. Let cool. Dust with powdered sugar.
