Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 4 eggs
- 125 g sugar
- 125 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 500 ml milk
- 1 ½ packs of pudding powder, vanilla
- 2 eggs, including the yolk
- 125 g powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp rum
- 250 g butter
- 4 bananas, sliced
- 200 g dark chocolate coating
Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Rest time approx. 6 hours; Total time approx. 7 hours
For the base, beat the eggs and sugar until frothy, fold in the flour and baking powder, and bake at 175°C for about 35 minutes. Let cool completely. For the topping, make a pudding from the milk, pudding powder, and two egg yolks. Let cool, then stir in the icing sugar and rum. Beat the butter until fluffy, then fold in the cold pudding a spoonful at a time. Spread some of the cream on the cake base, arrange banana slices on top, and spread the rest of the cream over the top in a dome shape. Finally, cover with the (not quite so hot) chocolate coating.
