Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 bottle of cider
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 100 g blackberries
  • 1 stalk(s) cinnamon
  • 5 cloves
  • 4 grains allspice
  • ½ tsp coriander seeds
  • 6 sugar cubes
  • some rum 54%
  • some sugar, possibly

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Place all the spices, except for the cinnamon stick, into a tea bag, roughly crush with the back of a knife, and add the cinnamon stick. Seal the bag. Combine the cider, vanilla sugar, blackberries, and spice sachet in a saucepan and heat until just before boiling. Let the punch steep for 5-10 minutes. Remove the spice sachet and pour the hot cider, with or without blackberries, into mugs. Place sugar tongs on top of each serving. Sprinkle 54% rum over two sugar cubes per mug and set aside. Add a little more sugar to taste. Apple pieces can also be used instead of the blackberries.
