Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 400 ml milk
- 60 g chocolate, white
- some orange peel, grated (bag or fresh)
- 2 tsp vanilla sugar
- 60 ml gin (e.g. Tanerine Gin)
- e.g. whipped cream
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Heat the milk with vanilla sugar, orange peel, and crumbled white chocolate, stirring constantly, but do not boil. Pour the gin into two mugs or thick-walled, heat-resistant glasses and pour the chocolate milk over the top. Serve hot with whipped cream. Note: Due to a lack of organic oranges, I used about a teaspoon of grated orange peel from the sachet. If you’re using fresh orange peel, you can also let some orange zest infuse in the milk and then fish it out before serving. It’s best not to use too much orange peel at once; add it gradually to the milk until you achieve the desired orange flavor. Tip: Using the best gin from your home bar would be a waste, as the chocolate and spices would overpower any subtle flavor. I used a Tangerine Gin I brought back from Portugal.
