Edible Advent candles

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 gingerbread (star, with a hole in the middle)
  • 1 wafer roll
  • 1 almond(s)
  • Sugar sprinkles, colorful (pearls)
  • some lemon juice
  • e.g. powdered sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

a nice little souvenir for the Christmas season

First, peel the almonds so they look nice and bright and clean (this works best if you soak them in hot water for 5 minutes and then peel them off). Next, make the icing with lemon juice and powdered sugar. A few drops of juice should be enough (you’ll need to experiment with the amount). Now, attach the wafer roll to the gingerbread with a drizzle of icing (pushing it through the hole), and then attach the almond (standing up) to the wafer roll with another drizzle. Finally, decorate the creation with sugar pearls and icing.
