Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 gingerbread (chocolate), with a hole in the middle, e.g. heart or star
  • 1 wafer roll
  • 1 almond(s), whole, peeled
  • n. B. Sweets for garnishing
  • e.g. cake icing

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Insert the wafer roll into the hole in the gingerbread. Secure with a little icing, if desired. Place a dollop of icing on top of the wafer roll and place the almond, pointing up, on top as a “flame.” It’s okay if a little icing runs down—this will make it look like wax is running down the “candle.” Now decorate the gingerbread with sweets such as gummy bears, Smarties, gold or silver beads, or these small round chocolate flakes with nonpareil or icing. It’s done in no time, and even the littlest ones can help with this Christmas gift!
