Milk slice cake

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 eggs
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 5 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 14 milk slices
  • 400 g sour cream
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 2 packs of orange peel, grated
  • 4 sheets of gelatin
  • 400 g cream
  • 500 g grapes, seedless
  • 1 pack of cake glaze
  • 1 pack of chocolate icing, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

For the base, beat the eggs, sugar, and oil until frothy. Fold in the flour, cocoa, and baking powder. Bake for 10-15 minutes at 175°C. Let the base cool. Before preparing the mixture, first cut the Milchschnitte to fit the round cake tin. I spread the Milchschnitte out on the round baking tin, place the ring on top, and cut off any excess slices. For the mixture, first soften the gelatine and dissolve it over low heat. Whip the cream. Then mix the sour cream, sugar, orange zest, and gelatine. Then fold in the cream. Spread half of the mixture over the base, then line the Milchschnitte with the mixture, followed by the other half of the mixture. Wash the grapes and arrange them on top of the mixture. Prepare the cake glaze according to the package instructions (if desired, use diluted fruit juice instead of water). Spread the glaze over the grapes. If you like, you can decorate the edges with chocolate icing.
