Flatbread with cheese and herbs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g flour (wheat flour)
  • 1 packet of yeast (dry yeast)
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp caraway seeds
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp basil
  • 50 g Parmesan
  • ½ bunch parsley
  • ½ bunch chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Combine flour, yeast, water, salt, caraway seeds, oregano, and basil in a bowl and knead to form a dough. Beat the dough with a wooden spoon until it bubbles. Add the Parmesan cheese and chopped herbs and mix in. Cover and let rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size. Knead the dough again and form flatbreads (0.5-1 cm thick). Let the flatbreads rise briefly again on a baking sheet, then bake in a preheated oven at 180-200°C for 10-15 minutes.
