Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 jar tomato peppers
- 2 small onions
- 1 clove(s) garlic
- 1 tsp paprika powder, hot
- ½ tsp pepper
- 6 dashes of Tabasco
- 200 ml tomatoes, pureed
- 150 ml tomato ketchup
- 50 ml white wine
- 3 tbsp sour cream or crème fraîche
- 3 gherkins (sticks from the jar)
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
First, finely chop the onions and garlic – I prefer chopping them in a food processor. Finely chop the cucumber sticks. Briefly sauté the onions and garlic, then add the spices, white wine, cucumber sticks, and tomato peppers. Let everything simmer for about 5 minutes. Now add the pureed tomato, crème fraîche, and ketchup. Season to taste and adjust seasoning if desired. Tastes great with schnitzel, but also with grilled meat.
