Parma ham with fruit

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 melon(s) (Charentais)
  • 4 figs, ripe, fresh
  • 12 slice(s) Parma ham, thin
  • olive oil
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • Parsley, for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Halve the melon lengthwise and remove the seeds with a spoon. Cut each half into 8 pieces and remove the rind. Cut the stems off the figs, quarter them without cutting them through, and open them into a flower. Arrange the melons on separate plates, cover with the ham, and add the figs. Drizzle with a little olive oil, season with pepper, and garnish with parsley. Serrano ham can also be used.
