Grainy cream cheese with tomatoes and spring onions

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2 cups cream cheese, grainy
  • 250 g natural yogurt, 3.5% fat
  • 500 g tomatoes (date or cherry tomatoes)
  • 1 bunch of spring onions, approx. 4 – 5 pieces
  • 1 bag of spice mix (salad topping spicy garden herbs or kitchen herbs)
  • 1 tbsp walnut oil
  • Salt and pepper, black, freshly ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Perfect with grilled meat and bread

Place the cream cheese and yogurt in a bowl. Cut the tomatoes into bite-sized pieces (approx. 1.5 cm thick) and the spring onions into small rings, then add everything to the cream cheese and yogurt mixture. Spread the seasoning mix on top and drizzle with oil. Then mix everything together. Season to taste with freshly ground salt and pepper. If desired, add half a packet of seasoning mix. Transfer the mixture to a clean serving bowl and cover with plastic wrap until ready to serve. It tastes best at room temperature, but must be kept cool. If you save any leftover cream cheese, it will keep in the refrigerator for about 2 days. It will then become increasingly redder (due to the tomatoes) and lose some of its intense flavor.
