Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 kg apples
- 250 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 250 g flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 small bottle(s) of rum flavoring
- ½ pack of baking powder
- 2 packets of vanilla sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 50 g almonds, slivered
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
Briefly toast the almond slivers in a pan. Preheat the oven to 160°C (fan/convection oven). Grease a 26cm springform pan. Peel and core the apples, and quarter or slice them thickly. Mix the vanilla sugar and cinnamon. Combine the remaining ingredients in a batter and pour into the pan. Arrange the apples in a circle, pressing them slightly into the batter. Sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon mixture and the toasted almonds. Bake for about 45 minutes. Do the toothpick test.
