The perfect burger sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp tomato paste, 3-fold concentrated
  • 2 tsp mustard, medium hot
  • 1 shot of white wine vinegar
  • ½ tsp sweet paprika powder
  • some pepper, mixed, freshly ground
  • some salt
  • some cayenne pepper or chili powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Combine the mayonnaise and ketchup in a bowl with the tomato paste and mustard. Add the white wine vinegar, salt, pepper, and paprika and mix thoroughly. Season to taste and add more salt and pepper if desired. If you like, you can add a little more mustard. It’s important that the mustard complements the sauce rather than overpowering it. Depending on the clientele, I also use hot paprika instead of sweet paprika. I’ve specified one serving because I always make a small jar, and the above quantities are pretty accurate. The finished sauce keeps well in the refrigerator.
